Clarity Week 12
Mark 11:1-25
Clarity
CGL Notes: We live in a world where everyone has an opinion about life and how it should work. Many opinions about what’s right and what’s wrong. We also live in a world where everyone seems to have a platform to voice their opinions. This brings confusion in our world but in the midst of confusion, God’s Word brings clarity! In a world with many voices, we are letting God’s voice speak the loudest!
Prayer
Throughout April, we want to intentionally focus our prayers to the Bengkulu people on Sundays and in our small groups. This is 1 of 10 potential unreached people groups that our missionaries could eventually engage in Indonesia! Start your group off by praying together for this people group! Below is some information on the Bengkulu and prayer prompts.
Prayer for the Unreached People Group
You are the Lord, and that is your name! I pray your glory not be given to another. I pray that the Bengkulu people will not give your praise to idols. Isaiah 42:8
Lord, send missionaries to declare your glory among the Bengkulu people, Your marvelous deeds among the Bengkulu people. Psalm 96:3
Lord, I pray that “all the Bengkulu people you have made will come and worship before you, O Lord; I pray the Bengkulu people will bring glory to Your name.” Psalm 86:9
Lord, may You be exalted over all the Bengkulu people, Your glory above the heavens. Psalm 113:4

*Suggestion* - Spend some time as a group reflecting on Holy Week leading up to Easter Sunday. Maybe read a passage together, such as Isaiah 53.
Question Bank (⚠️ Remember, you don’t have to ask each question!)
Read Mark 11:1-25
Why do you think Jesus chose to enter Jerusalem on a donkey rather than a horse or in a more dramatic fashion? What does this tell us about the kind of King He is?
Why do you think Jesus cursed the fig tree for not having fruit, even though it wasn’t the season for figs? What was He trying to teach the disciples about the worship taking place in Jerusalem at the time? In what ways can people seem close to God but actually are far away?
What kinds of “tables” might Jesus want to overturn in our churches or lives today? What are some areas where we’ve allowed selfishness or distractions to take the place of true worship?
How does Jesus declaring the temple should be “a house of prayer for all nations” reveal His heart for the world? How should this challenge us as a church?
