Konnection Kids

What is Konnection Kids?

Konnection Kids is the children’s ministry at Connection Church for children aged 8 weeks to 5th grade. It exists to partner with you to connect your kids into a growing relationship with Jesus. We want you, as parents, to feel comfortable leaving your children with us. We want to provide safe, fun, and inviting environments where the Bible is taught creatively in a way they can understand. We want your child to have a growing relationship with us, their friends, and especially Jesus!

It's my first time here!

Once you arrive at any one of our campuses, let one of our Connectors (what we call our volunteers) know it’s your first time with us and they’ll get you and your child checked in! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. We’re here to help make your child’s (and yours too, of course) experience with Konnection Kids the best it can be!

  • Safety

Your child’s safety is our first priority. All Connectors (what we call our volunteers) are interviewed by one of our staff, have passed a federal background check, and we have our own security team to ensure your child’s safety. We also use a security tag system for child check-in and pick-up, and a paging system for parents/guardians in case we need to reach you during the service.

  • What To Bring

If your child is aged 8 weeks old - K, bring a diaper bag with a bottle or spill-proof cup labeled with their name, diapers, pacifier, change of clothes etc. If you are in the early stages of potty training, please make sure your child is wearing a diaper or pull up and let us know how we can help!

If your child is in 1st-5th grade, all they need is their Bible and their offering!

  • Sickness Policy

If your child is sick or contagious, please don’t bring them to Konnection Kids. We want to ensure all of our children are in a safe and healthy environment. Here are some signs of sickness: a fever over 100 degrees, diarrhea, persistent runny nose with green or yellow discharge, earache, soar throat, lethargy, hacking or wet-sounding cough, vomiting, or any sort of skin rash.

What’s the check-in process?

When you check-in, you will receive a set of security tags for you and for your child. Your child will wear the tag with his or her name on it and you’ll keep the other. You will need your tag after the service when checking your child out. No child can be picked up without a security tag. If for some reason your child were to need you during the service, your child’s security number will appear on the screen in the auditorium.

Who's teaching my children?

Our Connectors (what we call our volunteers) are the primary people teaching your children about Jesus. Every Connector is screened with an interview, a federal background check, and we also offer CPR training throughout the year. If you’re as passionate about investing in children as we are, sign up to become a Connector today!

Our Values

FUN, SAFE, & INVITING

We think your kids should be excited about coming to church! We’ve set up our different environments in ways that invite the kids to come in, play, and learn about Jesus.

The safety of our children is something we take very seriously. Every child’s nametag is matched to a parent identification number, every volunteer is screened by an interview and federal background check, and every hallway is monitored throughout the service.

AGE APPROPRIATE

We understand that how we relate to people can make all the difference in the world. That’s why we design everything with our kids in mind. We have environments for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and 1st-5th grade students. Each one of these environments helps us relay Jesus in ways they can understand.

RELATIONSHIPS

It’s our goal to have your children excited about a growing relationship with Jesus Christ! We also want them to have a great relationship with our Connectors serving in this ministry, as well as other families that attend each week.

CREATIVE BIBLE TEACHING

We want to bring Jesus and the stories of the Bible to life through activities and discussions that keep our children engaged. We want all of our children to love God’s word and understand the value of applying it to their lives.
