Missions & Outreach

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all of Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Acts 1:8

Local Outreach

At Connection, we want to see every member missionally engaged in serving our city.  We believe that God has strategically placed us in our community to be a blessing, make a difference, and take the good news of the Gospel into every corner of our city. The main way we do this is by mobilizing people to live out the gospel where they are: at work, at the ball field, at the grocery store, at the dinner table. Another way we do this is through specific outreaches each quarter such as: Snow Day, ServeVidalia, Fall Festival, and Christmas Service Day.

Church Planting

At Connection, we believe the local church is God's Plan A. So, one of the primary ways we love our world is by planting new churches. We believe the most beneficial thing for every community is a church that can proclaim and live out the gospel of Jesus, so we are committed to planting churches in cities all over the world.

International Missions

God is making a great name for himself among the nations, and he has called all Christians to be an active part of his mission. At Connection, we want to mobilize people to the nations in three time frames:

  1. Short-Term (1-2 weeks) - We want to send teams to long-term workers to provide care, educate, prayer, evangelize, do disaster relief, or whatever is needed in these areas.

  2. Mid-Term (2 weeks - 2 years) - We want to send mid-term workers to come alongside long-term workers to bolster their work, provide constant “injections” of excitement and vibrancy, and encourage them. Also, mid-term options can help clarify God’s call on individual lives.

  3. Long-Term (more than 2 years) - We want to send long-term workers to make disciples, plant churches, and raise up indigenous leaders.
