Clarity Week 5
Genesis 4:1-16
Clarity
CGL Notes: We live in a world where everyone has an opinion about life and how it should work. Many opinions about what’s right and what’s wrong. We also live in a world where everyone seems to have a platform to voice their opinions. This brings confusion in our world but in the midst of confusion, God’s Word brings clarity! In a world with many voices, we are letting God’s voice speak the loudest!
Read Genesis 4:1-16
Why is it important to have a Biblical view of sex, and how does living outside of God’s design impact individuals and those around us? How has it impacted you?
Cain and Abel both brought offerings to God, but only Abel’s was accepted.
- What does this reveal about the importance of our heart posture in worship?
- How can we ensure we are offering God our “first and best” in our daily lives?
What does this passage tell us about the nature of sin? How can we be proactive in resisting sin in our own lives? (See 1 Peter 5:8 for more)
Even after Cain’s sin, God still engaged with him, offering mercy alongside justice.
- How have you experienced God’s grace even in moments of failure?
- How should this shape the way we approach repentance and restoration?
Hebrews 12:24 tells us that Jesus’ blood “speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.”
What does this mean in light of salvation? How does Jesus’ sacrifice bring us hope and reconciliation with God?
