Clarity Week 6
Genesis 4:17-6:8
Clarity
CGL Notes: We live in a world where everyone has an opinion about life and how it should work. Many opinions about what’s right and what’s wrong. We also live in a world where everyone seems to have a platform to voice their opinions. This brings confusion in our world but in the midst of confusion, God’s Word brings clarity! In a world with many voices, we are letting God’s voice speak the loudest!
Read Genesis 4:17 - 6:8
Summary
In this text we see the progression of sin and righteousness through two distinct family lines descending from Adam and Eve - Cain and Seth. Cain’s line is marked by disobedience and violence, while we see faith, dependence, and closeness to God through Seth’s line. Ultimately, while all people bear God’s image, they also carry Adam’s fallen likeness and human wickedness multiplies. God will bring judgment to this wickedness through a flood, but He finds favor in Noah, giving sinners hope.
