                                   Genesis 3

Clarity

CGL Notes: We live in a world where everyone has an opinion about life and how it should work. Many opinions about what’s right and what’s wrong. We also live in a world where everyone seems to have a platform to voice their opinions. This brings confusion in our world but in the midst of confusion, God’s Word brings clarity! In a world with many voices, we are letting God’s voice speak the loudest!

Read Genesis 3

What does Genesis 3 teach us about God?

 - What are attributes of God are revealed in this chapter?

What did the Serpent and Eve say about God and his commands in verses 1-5 that create confusion and helped lead to Adam and Eve’s disobedience?

 - How did Adam and Eve respond when God confronted them about their sin?

What things did Eve perceive to be desirable in the fruit she was forbidden to eat by God?

 - What connection can be made between desire and disobedience?

 - What does this chapter teach us about temptation and how can we guard against it? (See James 1)

How do we see the effects of the curse (3:14-19) played out in our lives today?

 - How are you struggling with the effects of the Fall right now?

In Genesis 3:15, God speaks of an offspring who will crush the serpent’s head. How does this point to Jesus and give us hope?
