CGL Notes: The book of Jonah is a very familiar book with a very unfamiliar meaning. Many people grow up hearing about Jonah and the Big Whale. As we dive into the book of Jonah we will see it is more about a runaway prophet and God’s Big Grace. This book teaches us a lot about our God!

What does this passage teach us about God?
Why did Jonah run from God? What does this teach us about the heart of God for Nineveh and what does it teach us about the heart of Jonah towards Nineveh and God’s plan for his life?
Where in your life are you prone to wander or run away from God’s Word? What is He calling you to do, or where may He be calling you to go?
Vs 4 say’s that the Lord sent a great wind. What's the real reason he sent a wind and how did he use it for good in the life of Jonah, the lives of the sailors, and the lives of the Ninevites? How have you seen God use storms of grace for the good in your life or in the lives of others?
How does this passage point us to Jesus and what he has done for us?
