Paul shows us in this passage that the Gospel doesn’t just do a work from the outside in, it also does a work in us from the inside out. Paul tells us not to conform to the pattern of the world but to renew our minds! Vs 3-8 is the type of mindset we should have towards ourselves and others in Christ! 

1.. What does this passage teach us about God and His will for us?

2.. How does the Gospel (mercies of God) crush pride in our lives? Why does God warn us about being prideful and thinking too highly of ourselves? How does a right view of self lead to a right view of others?

3.. What does this passage teach us about the Church and how God wants you to function in it as a believer? Why is it important that we use the gifts God has given us to build up the Church?

4.. What is your spiritual gift? How can you use it to build up the body of believers?
