This passage shows us that Jesus is Truth and He is a king of a kingdom that is not of this world! And the Cross was God’s sovereign plan in taking our place by being our substitute (absorbing and satisfying God’s wrath) and making us right with God! 

Can truth be created? Why or why not?

What are some examples of how truth can be offensive, and life-giving?

How does knowing that you’re in a kingdom war change the way you live? How should it change the way you live?

What are some things that we have in common with Barabbas? How is Barabbas being freed from the cross and Jesus hanging on the cross a picture of the Gospel?
