This passage shows us the obedience of Jesus, even to death on a cross. (Tree) (Phil 2:8)

We see here that Jesus drank the cup (God's wrath) in our place. He lived a life that we could not live and died a death that we deserved so that in Him we could find peace with God. (Colossians 1:19-20)

What is the significance of the Crown of Thorns? How does it relate to your sin, and how does this imagery stir you?

Read Romans 5:19 - How does Jesus’ life (obedience) in our place crush any thought of self-goodness and self-works righteousness?
